If you were unable to attend the LFS AGM on 9th March then you missed an excellent series of talks. Before the talks members enjoyed an enjoyable lunch and an uneventful business meeting. All the Officers retained their posts and Tim Jones & Tom Dickins were re-elected to the committee. Alan Rowland gave an update on the endowment fund.

After the official business, John Hedger and David George told us the story of the their new book Lundy Fungi, and about the future of the study of Lundy's mycology. If you haven't yet bought your copy, it can be ordered here.

Tim Jones updated us on what was an exciting year for bird records including a Green Warbler seen in the autumn. Dean Jones, the Lundy Warden, detailed what was an extremely busy year for the Lundy conservation team and Siân Cann, Assistant Warden and Education Officer, described the work she is undertaking to engage with schools local and further afield (including Budapest!) who have visited Lundy and used the refurbished church as a base for their learning. I'm sure Siân is cultivating the LFS members of the future!

If you fancy showing off your LFS membership then LFS branded clothing is now available! You can order hoodies, polo shirts, sweatshirts and T-shirts as well as beanie hats and caps, all in a variety of colours and a range of sizes from the the Bristol-based company Initially Yours.

The next AGM is on Saturday 14th March 2020 at The Boniface Centre in Crediton and the 2021 AGM will be held on Lundy in May (date to be confirmed).
