It is with regret that we pass on the news of the death of Peter Hywel Harman Jones who died on 11th November in Kingston General Hospital after a long illness, aged 95. He was the husband of Diana Keast’s sister Ruth, who passed away in 2006, and is survived by his daughter Marion who nursed him during this last illness.
He was a lawyer and played an important role during the sale of the island to the National Trust and is remembered fondly by Diana and other Lundy figures.
It is expected that he will be cremated at Mortlake where family flowers only are expected. Full details are to be published in the Telegraph later this week.
