We would really like to hear from anyone interested in becoming the Honorary Treasurer of the Lundy Field Society. Our current Treasurer, Chris Dee, has become closely involved in the Lundy Bird Observatory and has decided to step down at the end of 2023.

This important role manages the day-to-day finances of the LFS and oversees the funds in support of the Society's charitable aims. In addition, as an LFS Officer, the Treasurer attends three committee meetings (one in-person, two online) and the AGM each year. 

The role is voluntary, can largely be undertaken in the Treasurer’s own time and takes a few hours a month depending on the time of year. The role would suit someone with some general accounting knowledge, the ability to use MS Excel and who is well organised. A more detailed role description is available here.

Chris intends to complete the 2023 accounting period and would support his successor in a handover period during the first three months of 2024.
